Several new images and posters have been released over the last couple of weeks for the upcoming monster movie, Kong: Skull Island but today, we got our first trailer since the Comic-Con one. This one has a different tone as the film takes place in the 70s and you definitely get that playful 70s vibe throughout parts of this trailer.

Having said all of that, I am not a fan of this trailer much at all. That different tone doesn’t work for a movie like this in my opinion. I love John C. Reilly just as much as the next guy but he just seems out of place in this movie. It’s cool to see Kong dealing with more advanced weaponry and military but I just think that this trailer is strange compared to some of the better trailers we’ve seen for upcoming blockbusters especially the first trailer for this movie.

Check out the new trailer for Kong: Skull Island below! In addition to Reilly, the film also stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Thomas Mann, John Ortiz and Shea Whigham. The blockbuster will be released everywhere on March 10th, 2017.
