New trailer for Peter Berg's 'Patriots Day' brings forth the true heroism and unity following the Boston Marathon bombings of 2013

            The newest trailer for Patriots Day shows that Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon) is the perfect filmmaker to helm a project of this scale and magnitude. The film serves as a dramatic telling of the Boston Marathon bombings that took place in 2013 and the hunt in which the Boston PD headed to seek out the terrorists responsible for the criminal act.

            Mark Wahlberg stars as Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders who joins survivors, first responders and investigators on finding the perpetrators that made the explosions go off. Not only have true-life event films become a specialty for Berg but working with Wahlberg has been as well as they’ve done this film as well as the last two directed by Berg together. I’m excited to see this movie for sure, and the addition of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross doing the score just adds to my level of excitement.

            Check out the new trailer below for Patriots Day! In addition to Wahlberg, it also stars Kevin Bacon, J.K. Simmons, John Goodman and Michelle Monaghan. The film opens everywhere January 13^th, 2017.
