New images for 'Mary Poppins Returns' show Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda in the iconic roles from the original classic

            Though we are in the midst of Summer movie season, it’s never too early to think about the Christmas season in which most of our Oscar fare is released. Next Winter however, marks the return of Mary Poppins to the big screen for the 2018 film, Mary Poppins Returns! Entertainment Weekly recently released some photos from the movie and we have them for you above and below!

            Mary Poppins Returns will showcase Michael and Jane all grown up. Michael has three kids of his own but when his wife passes away unexpectedly, he falls into a deep depression. It’s a perfect time for Mary Poppins to return to the Banks family to help them in their time of need. Emily Blunt will star as Poppins while the mega-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda plays Jack, a former apprentice of the chimney sweep Bert (who was played by Dick Van Dyke in the original film).
