Felicity Jones set to play Ruth Bader Ginsburg in 'The Basis of Sex'

            It was announced a couple of years ago that a Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic was being made with Natalie Portman set to play the Supreme Court justice. Now, two years later, we have news on her replacement as another Oscar nominee takes Portman’s place. According to Deadline, Felicity Jones will star in the movie titled On the Basis of Sex.

            The movie that will follow the life of Ginsburg has been in development since 2015 and has Marielle Heller (The Diary of a Teenage Girl) at the helm as director. It’ll finally begin filming later this year as Jones stars as Ginsburg fighting for equal rights over the years. It is sure to be an Oscar-baity movie for Jones who returns to prestigious roles after her blockbuster role in a galaxy far, far away in Rogue One.

            Jones recently signed on to star in Swan Lake from Luca Guadagnino who’s latest movie, Call Me by Your Name is expected to be one of the biggest movies towards award season this year. Jones was nominated previously for playing Jane Hawking in The Theory of Everything in 2014.
