Trailer-Palooza! 'House of the Dragon Season 2, Godzilla x Kong: A New Empire, The Boys Season 4, Halo Season 2 and Fallout' Receive First Looks after busy weekend at CCXP

'Tis the season for a BUNCH of trailers. Last weekend at the CCXP (Brazil's version of Comic-Con), we got a number of first looks and trailers for upcoming shows and films. We're going to break down all of them for you right here in this article:

Arguably, Prime Video's biggest original on their streaming service is the raunchy, heavily R-Rated comic book series, The Boys. The fourth season teaser trailer arrived on the heels of the first season finale of spinoff series, Gen V. The series has been Emmy-nominated for Best Drama already and is anchored by one of the lead performances by Antony Starr as Homelander, the anti-hero "hero" who is amidst political chaos within the world of superheroes, villains and Vought. Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) is incredibly close to cementing herself in the President's chair within the Oval Office while Butcher (Karl Urban), with only months to live looks to take down the Supes once and for all, despite his team frustrated with his lies. The Boys will return in 2024 at some point with other crucial cast members including Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone and Karen Fukuhara due to return. Additionally, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead, Watchmen) makes his debut in the series.

One of the biggest series to debut last year was HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon. The series that takes place two centuries before the flagship program will return in the Summer of 2024, with eight episodes airing on HBO and available to stream the next day on Max. The quick teaser showcases a true battle of dragons as the opposing factions look to endure a massive war lead by the Targaryens and Hightowers. Emma D'Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Rhys Ifans all return for the sophomore effort.

The battle of the titans reigns yet again in the first trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire as the two mammoth iconic monsters in the title must reunite to battle other new threats of evil including the Scar King, a new colossal ape looking to tear the Earth down from within. The film returns Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle from previous entries of the franchise, while Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns and Fala Chen make their debut's in the Legendary Kong/Godzilla Monster-Verse. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire releases in theaters everywhere on April 12.

Paramount+ is probably best known for its Taylor Sheridan shows such as Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, The Tulsa King and more, however, it's biggest ploy to make a major jump in the sci-fi space is their own video game adaptation of Halo, which recently released a first look at its second season. Though many complained about the show taking its own liberties, in the first look teaser above, it seems that the sophomore effort will take inspiration of the fall of Reach, the greatest defeat in human history across Season 2. It showcases what looks to be a much more action-packed season with battles between the Spartans and the Convenant throughout. Halo Season 2 stars Pablo Schreiber, Shabana Azmi, Olive Gray, Bokeem Woodbine, Jen Taylor and Natascha McElHone and premieres on February 8.

Finally, we also got our very first look of a new world entirely with Amazon Prime Video's reveal of their own video game slice of storytelling, Fallout. Littered with symbolic homages to the mega-popular apocalyptic series including the Brotherhood of Steel, other factions and creatures throughout, Fallout has completely jumped to one of my most anticipated series of the year. The series stars Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, Moises Arias and Kyle MacLachlan. Fallout premieres on Prime Video on April 12.
