Aaron Taylor-Johnson Rounds Out the Cast for Robert Eggers Take on 'Nosferatu'

    Aaron Taylor Johnson (Kick-Ass, Nocturnal Animals) is the latest to join the star-studded gothic horror pic Nosferatu per Deadline. The long-awaited reimagining following the 1922 silent film and the 1979 remake comes from rising writer-director Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Northman) whose been attached to Nosferatu for years of development.

    In the new take on the tale, we'll see a possessed young woman in 19th-century Germany with the ancient Transylvanian vampire known as Nosferatu stalking her and bringing untold terror to her life. There's no word yet on who Taylor-Johnson will play in the film, however, Lily-Rose Depp and Bill Skarsgard will lead as the young girl Ellen and Nosferatu respectively. In addition to the aforementioned stars, Emma Corrin, Willem Dafoe and Nicholas Hoult team for the eerie pic from Eggers.

    Taylor-Johnson is coming off appearing in the action film Bullet Train but has a busy schedule of films upcoming. First, he'll star at the titular Spider-Man villain in Kraven the Hunter alongside Oscar-winners Russell Crowe and Ariana DeBose for Margin Call director J.C. Chandor. He'll also star in stuntman drama The Fall Guy reteaming with David Leitch and co-starring with Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt and Winston Duke.
