William Jackson Harper Joins the MCU in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania'

Coming off of the premiere of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer, we are getting more news about who will be joining the ensemble and MCU moving forward. According to Deadline, William Jackson Harper, best known for his role as Chidi in NBC's The Good Place, has been cast in the threequel starring Paul Rudd, Jonathan Majors and Evangeline Lily.

Though it's under wraps on who Harper will be playing in Quantumania, many fans on Twitter are calling for Harper to hopefully play yet another Mister Fantastic variant in the Quantum Realm. John Krasinski played a Reed Richards variant that served on the Illuminati in another multiverse within this year's Doctor Strange sequel, In the Multiverse of Madness.

Harper hasn't been spotted in the trailer, so for now this role will remain a mystery but he's a welcome addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Harper's breakout role was on The Good Place, the NBC sitcom where he played Chidi Anagonye alongside Kristen Bell, Ted Danson and now fellow MCU actor, Jameela Jamil, who recently played the villain, Titania in the Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. He's also had roles on recent starring roles on TV series, The Resort on Peacock and Love Life on HBO Max.

Harper is currently filming Landscape with Invisible Hand, a Sci-Fi Adventure film with Tiffany Haddish and Michael Gandolfini. He's also set to appear in the Netflix limited series, A Man in Full, which is set to be directed by Regina King and star Jeff Daniels, Diane Lane and Tom Pelphrey.

What do you guys think of William Jackson Harper joining the Marvel fold in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania? Do you want to see him play a variant of Reed Richards or a different character entirely?
