Jeff Goldblum assumes the role of a powerful modern God in first teaser for Netflix's 'Kaos'

Charlie Covell had himself a bit of a breakout hit on Netflix when he wrote the dark British comedy series, The End of the F***ing World. He's been mostly silent since its release in 2017, but now, his newest series goes even bigger and bolder.

So comes the newest show from Covell in Kaos, that stars Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park, The Fly) as the Greek God, Zeus. Zeus is the king of the Gods and ruler of the world within this series, which is described as a bold, darkly comic and contemporary take on Greek mythology. Goldblum assumes this role as being cruel, stylish and all-powerful, until one day, his power is threatened. Except his power is not threatened by another powerful entity, however, he's worried about the process of his downfall when scared out of his skin by a wrinkle that appears upon his forehead. This leads to hysteria in his case with a thought that his time as world leader is coming to an end and dangerously begins to self-destruct.

It's a really great concept with terrific acting talent attached in addition to Goldblum, who looks to challenge himself with something a bit darker than what he's been doing lately on screen. Goldblum is joined by actors such as David Thewlis, Janet McTeer, Cliff Curtis, Nabhaan Rizwan, Killian Scott and Aurora Perrineau in the show. Additionally, Billie Piper and Suzy Eddie Izzard cameo in the show as well.
