First Trailer for 'The Bikeriders' Reveals a High-Octane Motorcycle Drama starring Austin Butler, Tom Hardy & Jodie Comer

by Darian Scalamoni
We're entering the territory for potential Oscar darlings and in particular, with the SAG & WGA strikes ongoing, we're getting tons of new trailer every day. One that just dropped that I'm really excited for is The Bikeriders.

The film is based on the 1967 novel of the same name, that follows a Midwestern motorcycle club through the lives of its individual members. The cast for this movie is stacked beyond belief and has quickly risen as one of my most-anticipated films of the rest of the year. It definitely invokes that feeling of a more modern take on The Outsiders, which is a sweet spot of cinema that I feel has been missing for a number of years. The film screened for the first time at last week's Telluride Film Festival.

The Bikeriders stars recent Oscar-nominee Austin Butler (Elvis), Jodie Comer (The Last Duel), Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road), Michael Shannon (Take Shelter), Mike Faist (West Side Story), Boyd Holbrook (Logan) and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead). Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Mud) writes and directs the film that hits theaters everywhere on December 1.
