First trailer for 'Loving Vincent' revolutionizes the film industry with the first oil painted feature film

            For years, there has been an animated feature film in development titled, Loving Vincent. Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman directed the revolutionary movie, which is the world’s first ever oil painted animated film. Luckily for us, after years of waiting, the trailer has been released and we now have a guaranteed release date.

            The movie explores the complicated life and controversial death of one of the greatest personalities in the history of art, Vincent van Gogh. The movie, which began filming in 2011 was painted by 125 trained painters who composed 65,000 painted frames to make the movie possible. The unique masterpiece of an idea was finally comprised fully this year as a movie which is inspired by all of van Gogh’s paintings as well as 800 personal letters.

            Check out the trailer below for Loving Vincent! The film stars Aidan Turner, Saoirse Ronan, Chris O’Dowd, Eleanor Tomlinson and Jerome Flynn. Loving Vincent opens in theaters on Setptember 22nd.
