First teaser for A24's 'Never Goin Back' reveals a refreshing female friendship movie

            A24 gives opportunities for little indie darlings to sprout into these critical masterpieces but I love them because they give opportunity to so many diverse storytellers. It seems this trend is continuing as their latest film, “Never Goin’ Back” just received a new trailer from Augustine Frizzell making her writing and directorial debut.

            The movie focuses on the relationship between two best friends and high school dropouts, Angela and Jessie. The two are constantly getting high and looking for ways to escape responsibilities to get to the beach. It’s a revitalizing movie about two women just trying to have fun and be rebellious in Texas. I thought the trailer looked great and gave us a look at a different type of role for Maia Mitchell whose coming off of the Freeform show, “The Fosters.” Her co-star, Camila Monroe is a brand new face that just appeared in the remake of “Death Wish” earlier this year with Bruce Willis.

            The trailer for “Never Goin’ Back” can be seen in theaters on August 3^rd. You can check out the red band trailer below!
