The Last of Us continues to build out its major ensemble following the success of the video game adaptation's first season. Variety reports that Catherine O'Hara (Schitt's Creek) will join the cast of the series. We previously reported last month that Kaitlyn Dever, Young Mazino and Isabela Merced will also join the second season.

Best known for her comedic work, O'Hara is a 2-time Emmy winner, most recently for her role as Moira Rose in the popular series, Schitt's Creek. She also has appeared in popular films over the decades including Home Alone, Beetlejuice and Best in Show. O'Hara's role in The Last of Us is currently under wraps and it is unknown whether it will be a recurring character, or one that would appear in a potential bottle episode, similar to that of "Long, Long Gone" which starred Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett.

The Last of Us' second season is currently in production and recently revealed a remarkable director list that includes Kate Herron, Mark Mylod, Stephen Williams, Nina Lopez-Corrado and Peter Hoar. The series was a major hit both critically and commercially for HBO having great viewership that built week after week as well as winning 25 total Emmy awards, including best guest actor and actress for Nick Offerman and Storm Reid.
