Netflix continues to dominate the world in terms of television but their recent venture into features is finally leading to some terrific original films. One of the ones that I’m most excited about received a new trailer and we have it here for you.

The film I’m referring to is the latest from the mind of David Mackenzie titled Outlaw King. The film is based on the 14th century Scottish king by the name of Robert the Bruce, whose played by Chris Pine, who defeated the much larger occupying English army. Pine leads a cast that also includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Florence Pugh.

The Netflix film premiered at TIFF to mixed reviews but since then, Mackenzie has gone back and cut 20 minutes from it. Outlaw King will be released on November 9th on the streaming service.

I was a huge fan of Mackenzie’s last flick, Hell or High Water and him undertaking this time period intrigues me. I love the trailer as it showcases what should be a great role for Pine as well as sweeping visuals creating a new Braveheart-type adventure. Check out the trailer below!
