First Trailer for Martin Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon' Showcases Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone & Robert De Niro in 1920s Osage Nation Crime Epic

Despite the discouraging box-office numbers across the board this year, no one can dispute the level of excitement for the upcoming Martin Scorsese pic, Killers of the Flower Moon. While we did get our first teaser back in May, the first full trailer just dropped, and it is magnificent.

Killers of the Flower Moon is co-written by Scorsese (The Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed) and Eric Roth (Dune, Forrest Gump) and takes place in the turn of the twentieth century, where the Osage Nation had started to become wealthy due to its mass amounts of oil. The newly accounted prosperity that the Native Americans had gained drew the attention of white men who began to invade their homeland to extort, steal and ultimately, murder many of the native people. The story was adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name written by David Grann. Scorsese and Roth had taken a different approach to the subject matter in centering the story around the romance of a white man, Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his Native American wife, Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone).

The film will be distributed through Apple Studios, getting a limited release, including IMAX screenings on October 6, before heading to AppleTV+ to stream on October 20. Additionally, the film stars DiCaprio, Gladstone, Robert De Niro, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, William Belleau, Louis Cancelmi, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbot Jr., Pat Healy, Scott Shepard, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson and recent Oscar-winner, Brendan Fraser.
