Damien Chazelle's Musical Film, 'La La Land' gets a first Trailer

            Damien Chazelle’s Whiplash was one of the best films (and my favorite) of 2014, since then, I and many others have anticipated what his next project would be. Well, the trailer for that project has arrived online and it looks absolutely remarkable. The filmmaker’s next film is titled La La Land and stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone who appear in their third movie together since Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad.

            The Los Angeles-set love story is a musical that revolves around the new, flourishing love between a musician (Ryan Gosling) and a struggling actress (Emma Stone). The film dazzles within every minute of the trailer as it plays over an original song in the film titled “City of Stars” sung by Gosling himself, who is also a musician in real life. This teaser trailer is absolutely wonderful and I’m all in on this project.

            La La Land also stars John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt and Finn Wittrock and will play at the Venice Film Festival on August 31^st. The movie will open wide on December 16^th and looks to be a frontrunner for the Oscars. Check out the teaser trailer below!
