First look images at Domhnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie in biopic for Winnie-the-Pooh author

            Two of the best young actors in the industry today in my opinion have to be Domhnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie. Gleeson, who is the son of fellow actor, Brendan Gleeson had a fantastic 2015 in which he starred in sci-fi masterpiece Ex Machina, two Oscar contenders in The Revenant and Brooklyn and of course, his role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in which he played the militaristic leader, General Hux. Robbie got her start in Martin Scorsese’s modern masterpiece, The Wolf of Wall Street and has also gotten off to a hot start of her career. In fact, she’s starred in three movies this year already; Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, The Legend of Tarzan and of course, the DC Comics blockbuster, Suicide Squad in which she portrayed Harley Quinn. Seeing these two team up on screen would be a dream pairing and this is now becoming a reality.

            It was only a few months ago that we reported that both had signed on to a A.A. Milne biopic, which still currently doesn’t have a title. If you don’t know of Milne, he is the man responsible for writing and creating Winnie-the-Pooh. Gleeson stars as the author who brought the honey-loving bear to life in the 1920s thanks to inspiration from his son, Christopher Robin and his stuffed animals. Robbie stars as Milne’s wife, Dorothy “Daphne” de Selincourt and newcomer Will Tilston stars as Christopher Robin. I'm incredibly excited to see this movie and learn more about this story. I was a huge fan of Winnie growing up and I think with these actors attached, it could be a tremendous film.

            Luckily, Fox Searchlight Pictures has released first-look images for the movie which we have for you today. Check them out below! The currently untitled A.A. Milne biopic is set to be released sometime in 2017.
