First image for 'Song to Song' showcases the spectacular cast of Terrence Malick's next movie

            Some refer to Terrence Malick (The Tree of Life, The Thin Red Line) as one of the beautiful filmmakers of all-time in terms of shot composition, he’s also a very particular director as he only made five movies from 1973-2011. Since then though, he’s released three more and now we have a first look image for his upcoming film, Song to Song, formerly titled Weightless.

            The movie is a modern love story in the Texas music scene as two couples chase success through a rock ‘n’ roll landscape of seduction and betrayal. The two couples are struggling songwriters Faye and BV, played by Rooney Mara and Ryan Gosling, and also music mogul Cook and a waitress played by Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman, respectively.             Song to Sing will be released on March 17^th. The film also stars Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Haley Bennett, Val Kilmer, Benicio Del Toro, Clifton Collins Jr. and Holly Hunter. In addition to the starry ensemble cast, there are also set appearances by musicians Patti Smith, Lykke Li, The Black Lips, Iggy Pop, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Florence and the Machine.
