Robert De Niro stars as the former tycoon Bernie Madoff in the first trailer for HBO original movie 'The Wizard of Lies'

            It seems that everyone has been waiting to see who will eventually play Bernie Madoff in a cinematic format. The man who became the face of a Wall Street empire in which it was built of a Ponzi scheme that collapsed in upon itself is being adapted as a HBO movie starring Robert De Niro and we have the first trailer for you right here.

            The movie that is titled The Wizard of Lies has De Niro playing the former tycoon and showcase him facing the heat for the massive fraud and the arrest that followed. Michelle Pfeiffer also stars as his wife, Ruth Madoff and Barry Levinson (Rain Man, You Don’t Know Jack) directs. I love this trailer, De Niro looks great as Madoff and I’m happy that its short because it doesn’t give too much away even though the audience knows how the film is going to go.
