I’m a
huge fan of Greta Gerwig. I think she’s a visionary as a writer, actress and
now, she’s getting behind the camera for a bigger production and I am head over
heels excited to see it. The film, Lady
Bird, which just hit TIFF and is produced by A24 just received its first
trailer and we have that for you below.
The
movie stars Saoirse Ronan as Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson who is coming of
age within her catholic school life, bickering with her parents, her love life
and just being a teenager and trying to figure out her life. The cast for this
film has three of the hottest young actors in Hollywood right now with Ronan,
who is a 2-time Oscar nominee for Atonement
and Brooklyn. Also, Lucas Hedges who
was an Oscar nominee last year for his supporting turn in Manchester by the Sea and Timothee Chalamet, who is being courted
by many as a potential Oscar nominee for his role in Call Me By Your Name.
It’s
a very different role for Ronan, so much so, that she reminds you so much of
Gerwig within the film and you can tell the young actress had a lot of fun with
this role. After seeing this trailer, this movie is definitely in my top 5 most
anticipated for the rest of the year and I can’t wait to see it when it hits
theaters.

The movie stars Ronan, Hedges, Chalamet, Laurie Metcalf, Tracy Letts, Beanie
Feldstein, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Lois Smith. Lady Bird hits theaters on November 10th, expect to hear
even more about this flick closer to Oscar season.
