Crazy Rich Asians was one of the most
pleasant surprises of the year for me for many reasons. It showcased a truly
underrepresented group of Asian-American actors, was a terrific romantic dramedy
and was one of my favorite films of 2018 thus far. Luckily, we’ll be seeing two
of them reunite all thanks to Paul Feig. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michelle Yeoh will star in Last Christmas alongside the previously
announced Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding, who also starred in Crazy Rich Asians.
Last Christmas is a London-set holiday
romantic comedy that follows Kate, an elf, played by Clarke, in a year-round
Christmas shop who begins dating Tom, played by Golding. Tom seems too good to
be true when he enters her life and starts to see past her so-called barriers. There’s
no word yet on who Yeoh will play within the film.
Feig recently directed A Simple Favor which also starred Golding
alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. I was already excited to see this
film but even more so with the addition of Yeoh who was terrific in Crazy Rich Asians. She can be seen
starring on the CBS All Access series, Star
Trek: Discovery and will be seen next in Boss Level alongside Mel Gibson and Annabelle Wallis.
THR
also
says within their report that Last
Christmas will feature the music of George Michael. Last Christmas hits theaters on November 15th, 2019. Are
you guys excited for this? Let us know in the comment section!
