My
anticipation continues to build for the upcoming reboot of The Twilight Zone on CBS All Access, especially when more casting
announcements continue to be made. According to Deadline, John Cho, Allison Tolman and Jacob Tremblay have joined
the series to star in the episode titled, The
Wunderkind.
Previous
announcements of the series have cast Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott and Kumail Nanjiani
to star in other episodes of the show while Jordan Peele, who is executively
producing the series will host and narrate the episodes like Rod Serling did when
the original series aired from 1959 through 1964. There have been no details yet
as to who Cho, Tolman and Tremblay will play in the episode.
Cho
has had a big year with a lead role in the thriller, Searching, for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit
Award. Tolman is best known for her performance as Molly Solverson in the first
season of FX drama, Fargo for which she
received an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination, but she could be seen most
recently in the Hulu series, Castle Rock.
Tremblay had a breakout performance in 2015’s, Room and has since appeared in Wonder
and The Predator reboot while also having
a role in the upcoming Xavier Dolan movie, The
Death and Life of John F. Donovan.
The Twilight Zone reboot will debut on
the CBS All Access streaming service in 2019.
