'Banshees of Inisherin's' Kerry Condon to Join Brad Pitt in Apple's F1 Racing Flick

    Coming off her tremendous Oscar-nominated performance in Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin, Kerry Condon is set to join the cast of the currently untitled F1 Racing Film from Apple alongside Brad Pitt, Damson Idris and professional F1 racer Lewis Hamilton.

    The big budget film was announced last June with Pitt leading as F1 racer who comes out of retirement to mentor a young driver and take the course to have one last shot at championship aspirations to be the teammate of the young up-and-comer. Condon will play the team's Technical Director who oversees the design and development of the cars that Pitt and Idris will inhabit. The film is set to be one of the bigger releases for late 2022-early 2023 as Apple snagged it for a price between $130-$140 million. Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, Only the Brave) will direct the film from a script by Ehren Kruger (The Ring, Top Gun: Maverick).

    Condon starred in The Banshees of Inisherin as Siobhan for which she earned an Academy Award nomination. Condon has also appeared in notable television series such as Better Call Saul, Rome and Ray Donovan. She also voices Tony Stark's A.I. known as Friday in the MCU. Next up, Condon will join the Star Wars world in the streaming series, Skeleton Crew which is due to premiere at the end of the year on Disney+ which also stars Jude Law. She'll also lead the crime thriller, In the Land of Saints and Sinners with Liam Neeson later in 2023.
