First trailer for 'The Snowman' has Michael Fassbender hunting down an icy killer

            With Comic-Con and D23 happening this week, we’ve gotten tons of new footage and trailers for some of our favorite franchises and properties but we’ve also received trailers from some auteurs that deserve plenty of attention. One of those is the first trailer for Tomas Alfredson’s (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Let the Right One In) next movie, The Snowman.

            The movie, based on the novel of the same name, follows a detective who discovers a murder from one he suspects is a serial killer who goes by the moniker, “The Snowman’. He works alongside a recruit who aims to take down the madman before he racks up more innocent people’s deaths at his icy hands. It’s a chilling trailer (no pun intended) and appears to be a rather interesting horror/crime movie for the end of the year. With all the terrific talent attached though along with a pretty unique premise, I’m looking forward to checking this one out in theaters.

            Watch the trailer below for The Snowman! The film stars Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Val Kilmer, J.K. Simmons, Chloe Sevigny and Charlotte Gainsbourg. The Snowman hits theaters on October 20^th.
