The
1980s sci-fi classic, Blade Runner is
getting a sequel if you didn’t already know due to the multiple reports here on
our site. Ridley Scott won’t return to the directing chair for this one but he
will produce and Denis Villeneuve (Arrival,
Sicario) will direct a terrific cast that stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison
Ford who will reprise his role as Rick Deckard. The upcoming movie just got its
second trailer and you can view that below!
Blade Runner 2049 takes place 30 years
after the events of the first film as Gosling plays LAPD officer K, the newest
blade runner who goes on a journey to find Deckard. Roger Deakins, also known
as, the godfather of cinematography will shoot the movie that looks incredible
visually. After viewing this trailer, it has crept up to my top 10 most
anticipated for the remainder of the year. We get more story details in this
preview as well as a better look at Jared Leto’s villain character who looks to
be the creator of the replicants.
