Mary Elizabeth Winstead Rumored to Play Hera Syndulla in Disney+ series, 'Ahsoka'
According to Bespin Bulletin, it's rumored that Winstead will be playing Hera Syndulla in Ahsoka. This report comes following news that within the trailer shown at this year's Star Wars Celebration, it was confirmed that Syndulla would be in the series, however, this is the first news indicating that Winstead will play the Twi'lek revolutionary. Syndulla appears as one of the lead characters of the animated series, Star Wars Rebels which was created by Dave Filoni, who is writing and directing Ahsoka, so it makes sense to introduced Syndulla to live-action in this show. There is also speculation that the series will act as "a continuation" to Rebels adding to the speculation that Winstead would be a perfect choice to play the character.
Winstead will appear in the series alongside Rosario Dawson, who will reprise her live-action portrayal of Ahsoka from The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Additionally, other Rebels characters such as Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn will also appear in the series played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Eman Esfandi and Lars Mikkelsen, respectively. Franchise staple Hayden Christensen is also set to return as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the show. Ahsoka is due to hit Disney+ in 2023 with a rumored release date at some point in the Spring.
