Rian Johnson is coming off of one of the biggest films of 2022 with Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, the sequel to the incredibly popular Knives Out, and yet, he aims to stay within the whodunit genre with his return to television for Peacock. Poker Face is a series that Johnson first signed up for in March 2021 immediately attaching Natasha Lyonne to star forming a terrific ensemble around her, and now, we have our first trailer.

Poker Face is described as a character driven, case-of-the-week that will blend multiple genres. Johnson has said that Columbo is a big influence for his direction of the series. Though Johnson will direct and write multiple episodes, some other directors for episodes of the series include Lyonne and Zola director, Janicza Bravo. Poker Face also boasts a massive cast that includes all of the following: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Stephanie Hsu, Benjamin Bratt, Adrien Brody, Lil Rel Howery, Ellen Barkin, Jameela Jamil, Hong Chau, Judith Light, Nick Nolte, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, Luis Guzman, Chloe Sevigny and many, many more.

Poker Face will drop four episodes on the premiere date of January 26, 2023 for Peacock with one episode dropping every week following. The trailer gives a very 1970s vibe to this murder mystery series lead by Lyonne. Check out the first look at Poker Face below!
