With the first Star Wars anthology film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story due out in December, it’s time to focus on pre-production for the next anthology film which stars Han Solo. Obviously, this will be a younger Han Solo and Lucasfilm has already casted Alden Ehrenreich in that role. Now, they must find the female lead.

According to Variety, it seems that Tessa Thompson, Zoe Kravitz and Naomi Scott have been the names on the shortlist for the co-starring role along with Ehrenreich. Thompson is best known for her performances in films like Dear White People and Creed. She already has a relationship with the parent company, Disney as she stars in Thor: Ragnarok as Valkyrie. Scott is set to co-star in the upcoming Power Rangers film as Kimberly (the Pink Ranger). Kravitz has also been seen in a superhero film in X-Men: First Class but she also had a role in Best Picture nominee, Mad Max: Fury Road and we’ll be seen next in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

All of these actresses seem like great choices with all of them having some sort of experience within blockbuster films. Personally, I love Tessa Thompson and thought she was tremendous in Creed last year and would root for her to get the role. Having said that, I would be happy with any of these ladies getting the role. Check back here as soon as we know who will star in the Han Solo anthology film set to be directed by The Lego Movie directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
