First Trailer for Dramedy AppleTV+ Series 'Shrinking' Reveals the Breakthrough Process of Healing through Grief for Jason Segel

by Darian Scalamoni
AppleTV+ released their list of upcoming 2023 releases yesterday which looks as stacked as its ever looked. One upcoming series I'm very excited about is Shrinking which will star Jason Segel, Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams and we have the first full-length trailer for you below.

Shrinking follows a grieving therapist named Jimmy (Segel) who is having trouble paying attention to his patients and decides to switch things up by negating any preferred methods and his formal training to just tell the patients exactly what they should be doing. This puts ethics out the window, but Jimmy begins to see how his new method of therapy is changing people's lives for the better and leading to a breakthrough in even his own life. Dr. Paul Rhodes (Ford) voices his concern over the new ways that Jimmy is leading his patients down a road that is more of a discovery of how to deal with the grief of losing his wife. It looks like a show with a lot of heart, humor and emotion. I will be one of the first people to stream the series once it's released!

The series will begin streaming on AppleTV+ on January 27 with a two-episode premiere. The series was created by Segel along with Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence and Roy Kent himself, Brett Goldstein. James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, The End of the Tour) directs the first episode and executive produces the series as well.

Check out the first trailer below for Shrinking which stars Jason Segel, Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams!
