It’s a tale as old as time and now there is a trailer for the live-action version of the iconic Disney film, Beauty and the Beast. After months of teases, images and casting news, we finally see all our favorite characters in action on screen.

Disney obviously has big shoes to fill with adapting this movie into live-action as the original 1991 movie was the first animated motion picture to be nominated for Best Picture. It was also a massive box office hit and is one of the most classic Disney films of all-time. If you haven’t seen the original, the movie follows Belle, a smart, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his royal castle. Though she’s fearful at first, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and looks beyond his hideous exterior to see that he’s not as awful as he seems.

I love this trailer so much because it gives us a good look at how they’re adapting the original film without giving too much away. We finally get a look at characters like Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts in action but not too much that it gives them away. Also, there are no renditions of the songs within the trailer as it’s clear Disney want to get people out to the theater to see this movie.

Check out the first trailer for Beauty and the Beast below. The live-action remake stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Audra McDonald, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson. The film opens in theaters on March 17th, 2017.
