It seems that Hollywood is in a trend in which some of our favorite stars are reuniting with directors that have led them to incredible success recently. Another incredible project is in development with one of the best trios you could ever see for a feature film. The Playlist is reporting that Martin Scorsese might reunite with two very familiar faces, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro for the film adaptation of Killers of the Flower Moon.

The movie would bring together the three icons for just the second time with the first being a short film, The Audition. Neither actor is a stranger to working with Scorsese however as DiCaprio has collaborated with Scorsese on five feature films with De Niro edging him out with eight projects under the direction of Scorsese with his potential ninth on the way with The Irishman. The film tells the true crime story about multiple murders of members of the Osage Indian tribe in Oklahoma after oil was found in their homeland. The movie will also showcase the rise of J. Edgar Hoover, who DiCaprio played previously in the Clint Eastwood directed biopic back in 2011.

It sure sounds like a fantastic potential project that would bring the two legendary actors for just the second time, first appearing together in This Boy’s Life. Scorsese is attached to a multitude of films as he usually is but here’s hoping this one comes together along with The Irishman. How do you guys feel about this Killers of the Flower Moon? Is this the type of movie you’d like to see DiCaprio and De Niro star in? Sound off in the comments below and let us know!
