Back in October, it was announced
that Gary Ross (The Hunger Games, Pleasantville) would be directing a female
centric reboot of Ocean’s Eleven and now he might be adding another Oscar
winning actress to the cast.
According
to The
Tracking Board, Jennifer Lawrence is in discussions to join Sandra Bullock
for the film. Lawrence has worked with Ross previously in the first film in The
Hunger Games franchise. Though I wasn’t a fan of this film with Bullock in the
lead, adding Lawrence would be a welcome addition as she has great comedy chops
and could be similar to the Brad Pitt character within the Ocean’s Trilogy.
The
women-led reboot will be produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh who
starred and directed the original film respectively. Rumors have it that
Bullock’s character will play Danny Ocean’s sister and an ex-con.
