According to The
Hollywood Reporter, Michael B. Jordan has been cast in Marvel’s Black Panther, which will be released on
February 16th, 2018.
This
film would be the third time that Jordan has worked with director Ryan Coogler
(Creed, Fruitvale Station) as he worked with Coogler on his first two films
as well. If Jordan joins the film, he will join Chadwick Boseman in the film.
Also, yesterday it was reported that Lupita Nyong’o has been in discussions to
join the film.
At this
time not much is known about the role Jordan will play, but rumors have Marvel
aiming for him to play the villain within the movie. This won’t be Jordan’s
first foray into the superhero genre as he recently played The Human Torch in
the film, Fantastic Four, last year.
The next time we’ll see Jordan is
in the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair
in which the Russo brothers, who directed the current box office champion Captain America: Civil War have recently
signed onto as producers.
