Amy Schumer has been in the spotlight of female driven comedies for the last year and there was a lot of intrigue surrounding her upcoming movie with Goldie Hawn to be directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50, Warm Bodies). Today, we received the first red-band trailer titled Snatched starring the comedic pairing and we have it here for you all to see.

Snatched follows Schumer and Hawn heading to South America for a vacation after Schumer’s character is broken up with. In the midst of enjoying themselves, they’re captured by a gang and must escape. This is for sure a rated-R, raunchy action/comedy vehicle for the actresses and should do well for the female crowd the way that Bad Moms did. Unfortunately, I can’t get behind this upcoming film as much as that one. Besides the opening joke, I didn’t laugh much at this trailer. I loved Schumer in Trainwreck but other than that, I genuinely don’t see the appeal in her comedy. I’m not a big fan of her stand-up or her other movie roles so it’s gonna take a lot to get me to the theater to see this movie.

Watch the trailer below for Snatched! The movie also stars Christopher Meloni, Ike Barinholtz, Oscar Jaenada, Randall Park and Wanda Sykes. Snatched opens on Mother’s Day weekend May 12th, 2017.
