While many are aware of the on-screen talent associated with the Roy family on HBO drama Succession, some may still not be in the know as much with Matthew Macfadyen, who recently won an Emmy for his role as Tom Wambsgans in the series. Now, he's getting his highest-profile gig yet as he's set to join the MCU.

According to Deadline, Macfadyen (Succession, Pride & Prejudice) is joining the cast of Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Emma Corrin. At this time, it's currently unknown who Macfadyen will play in the film. As previously reported back in November, Shawn Levy (Stranger Things, Free Guy) will direct the comic book fare with Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese returning to script the third installment of the Merc with a Mouth after penning the first two films. Though the first two Deadpool movies were under the Fox umbrella, this will be the first where Marvel Studios will work together with Reynolds and his Deadpool team.

Macfadyen, again, is best known for his role as Tom in Succession, however, he has some other projects on the docket. We reported that Macfadyen will star alongside Nicole Kidman and Gael Garcia Bernal in the thriller Holland, Michigan which is currently filming.

What do you think of Matthew Macfadyen's casting in Deadpool 3? Who would you like to see him play in the comic book movie?
