First Trailer for 'Bridgerton' Prequel Spinoff Series 'Queen Charlotte' Reveals a Royal Wedding and the Rise to Power for a Young Queen

    Though the news has been up-and-down all year on the real-life Royal family, we're settling back into the world of Bridgerton with the trailer for Netflix's prequel spinoff series, Queen Charlotte. 

    The series is sure to embed most of the drama, romance and escapism that Shonda Rhimes' monumental streaming series had since its debut in 2020. Queen Charlotte will follow the titular character's rise to prominence with the young queen (played by India Amarteifio) marrying King George (Corey Mylchreest) which sets forth a great love story and a shift in the Ton society.

    Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh and Ruth Gemmell will return to reprise their roles from Bridgerton while also adding Michelle Fairley, Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmet and Freddie Dennis in new roles.
