Quentin Tarantino’s latest project has been wildly anticipated since it was just an idea in development back in 2016. Now with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt signed on to star, he’s starting to fill the supporting roles with some familiar faces and another legendary star who’s stepping back into the limelight.

According to Deadline, Burt Reynolds, Kurt Russell, Michael Madsen and Tim Roth will appear in the film. Reynolds is in talks to play George Spahn, a real person who was in the middle of the famous Manson killings. Spahn rented his ranch out to movie studios to use for Westerns and was convinced to rent out his property to Charles Manson and his “family” before they murdered Sharon Tate. The site also confirms that Margot Robbie will in fact be playing Tate which has been rumored for months.

Russell, Madsen and Roth have all signed on as smaller, unspecified roles. All three of them have worked with Tarantino before for multiple projects. Russell starred in “The Hateful Eight” and “Death Proof”, while Roth also appeared in “The Hateful Eight” but can also be seen in two of Tarantino’s more talked about films, “Pulp Fiction” and “Reservoir Dogs.” Madsen has had a role in every single Tarantino movie to date, so his streak stays alive for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is set to be released by Sony on August 9th, 2019 and stars DiCaprio as Rick Dalton, a former TV star and his stunt double Cliff Booth, played by Pitt as they struggle to make it in Hollywood. To make matters more complicated, Dalton’s neighbor, Sharon Tate is murdered by Charles Manson and his “family.”

I’m more and more excited for this project every time there is another announcement. How do you guys feel? Comment below and let us know about how excited you are for this project!
