We’re currently living in an era where tons of people are cutting the chord and going by strictly streaming services and apps. There is such an abundance now that almost every network is getting their own subscription service. Not only that but even Disney and DC Comics are getting their own service!

CBS launched their own subscription service, CBS All Access in 2014 and gained tons of traction after launching their own original content just for the service itself. “Star Trek: Discovery” did big numbers for them and now they’re lining up even more shows. According to Deadline, the network has selected Billy Magnussen to lead their psychological thriller, “Tell Me a Story” which received a straight-to-series order.

“Tell Me a Story” is a show that takes the most beloved and famous fairy tales and gives them a darker tone. The show is set in modern New York and the first season is set to focus on “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” and “Hansel and Gretel.” Magnussen plays Nick, a young high school teacher who is described as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.” It sure sounds like an interesting story and take on classic fairy tales and just how creepy they could be if seen from a different perspective.

Magnussen has been red hot as of lately as he’s got a ton of upcoming high-profile roles. He’ll appear in Dan Gilroy’s “Velvet Buzzsaw,” Disney’s live-action “Aladdin” and the Netflix’s limited series, “Maniac” starring Jonah Hill and Emma Stone.
