The first full-length trailer has been unveiled for Blade Runner 2049, the sequel to the 1980 sci-fi classic directed by Ridley Scott. The sequel will be helmed by one of the hottest filmmakers in the industry right now, Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario).

Blade Runner 2049 takes place 30 years after the events of the first film and stars Ryan Gosling as a new blade runner who uncovers the secret that leads him to find Rick Deckard, our protagonist from the last film. Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Deckard and Villeneuve will reunite with frequent collaborating cinematographer, Roger Deakins. The movie looks amazing but the story looks to be a bit weak. Though the first film got through this problem, the same can’t be said for this flick which will be judged more harshly when no one was expecting the movie in the first place.

Check out the new trailer for Blade Runner 2049 below! The movie stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Barkhad Abdi, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Jared Leto, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James and Mackenzie Davis. Blade Runner 2049 opens everywhere on October 6th!
