The
Blade Runner sequel has been in the
news very often lately as final details and castings are being announced but as
of now, the film is set to be released one year from today. To mark that
glorious occasion, Warner Bros. has officially released the title of the movie which
is Blade Runner 2049. The original Blade Runner took place in November of
2019 so it seems that by the title, this movie will take place thirty years
after the events of the first.
Unfortunately,
other than the title reveal, not much else is known about the upcoming sequel.
Warner Bros.’ press release specifically stated that “Story details are not
being revealed.” Which leaves us just with the cast and crew as of now.
Blade Runner 2049 is set to star Ryan
Gosling, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi,
David Dastmalchian, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Harrison Ford returning as
Rick Deckard. Along with that the film will be produced by the director of the
first Blade Runner, Ridley Scott and
will be directed by Denis Villeneuve who previously directed Prisoners, Sicario and is directing the upcoming
sci-fi film, Arrival. Roger Deakins
will also handle the cinematography.

anticipation for this movie!
