HBO
has been killing it recently with their new series, Westworld but there’s another show on the way for the network that
looks to be one of the potential best for 2017. The first trailer has arrived
for Big Little Lies which is best on
the best-selling novel written by Liane Moriarty about three women whose lives
intersect in ways that will change them forever.
The
limited series has a stacked cast that includes many award winning and
nominated actresses including Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Nicole Kidman and Shailene
Woodley. The show is said to be a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second
wives, mothers and daughters, schoolyard scandal and the dangerous little lies
we tell ourselves to survive. Sounds incredibly interesting and I love this
trailer so much. It’s also directed entirely by Jean-Marc Vallee who previously
directed Dallas Buyers Club, Demolition
and Wild, which starred Witherspoon
and Dern as well. He’s a brilliant character director so his involvement
excites me even more.
Big Little Lies is slated to air next
year but no official date has been announced yet. Along with the talent we’ve
already listed, the limited series also stars Alexander Skarsgard, Adam Scott
and Zoe Kravitz. Check out the first trailer below!
