Hollywood
has had a serious issue with developing and producing good movies based on
video games. Many thought that maybe
Warcraft would be the film to break the streak but it wasn’t the case. Ratchet and Clank barely got any
attention when it was released so we move now to Assassin’s Creed in which we have a second trailer for you today.
Though
this upcoming video game adaptation sure looks to be great with a fantastic
cast headed by Michael Fassbender and a capable director in Justin Kurzel who
previously directed Macbeth, it still
faces the main issue. Video game movies just have not worked. Hopefully, this
will be a different story. The film follows Callum Lynch who through a new
revolutionary technology, experiences adventures as his ancestor, Aguilar in 15th
Century Spain. He has been lured by a secret society of assassins and develops knowledge
and skills to take down the Templar organization in the present day.
Assassin’s Creed will be released in
theaters on December 21st. In addition to Fassbender, the film also
stars Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Michael K. Williams, Brendan Gleeson and
Ariane Labed. Check out the new trailer below!
