With early reviews for Disney’s live-action version of Beauty and the Beast being less than stellar, they’ve tried to ramp up positivity in another reboot, Mary Poppins Returns. The revitalized property and role that will now be inhabited by Emily Blunt is set for a Christmas Day release next year and Disney has released a first look at Poppins herself.

The image is from behind so you don’t get a great look at Blunt’s face but she does certainly look the part from this picture. Mary Poppins Returns is set in 1930s London (just like the original) with Michael and Jane all grown up. After Michael deals with a personal loss, the magical nanny returns into his life along with Jack to help Michael and his family rediscover the wonder in their lives.

Check out the first look below at Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins! The film stars Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Colin Firth and Meryl Streep with Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews expecting to make cameo appearances as well. Mary Poppins Returns is directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago, Into the Woods) and will hit theaters on December 25th, 2018.
