Newsflash
in case anyone is behind, Deathstroke is set to be the villain in Ben Affleck’s
directed Batman film in which he’ll also star and write. Now today, according
to Collider,
it’s reported that Joe Manganiello will play the role in the film.
The currently untitled
Batman film can be released as early as 2018 and Affleck recently tweeted out
footage that showcased live-action footage of the character named Slade Wilson.
The scene has been speculated to have been a part of the upcoming DC universe
movie, Justice League. The superhero
team-up will be released in March of next year.
Manganiello doesn’t get
me more excited for this universe of films that have already underwhelmed
audiences. I might have to trust the instincts of Affleck though, as a director
he’s headed three fantastic films with Gone
Baby Gone, The Town and Argo. Manganiello is known best for his
role in the Magic Mike films as Big
Dick Richie. He was also a series regular on True Blood as Alcide Herveaux.
