It
has been widely regarded since Paterson
was first shown at Cannes that it is one of the best indies of the year.
Luckily, today we received our first trailer for the latest film from art house
director, Jim Jarmusch.
Adam
Driver plays the titular character, a bus driver in Paterson, New Jersey
(ironically enough) who seems content living his life with his daily routine.
He does his job around the city, writes poetry, walks his dog, has a beer and
then heads to bed. His wife, Laura, played by Goldshifteh Farahani, is quite
the opposite as she lives throughout her dreams and projects. Jarmusch observes
a week in the lives of the couple and it seems to create something special in
the meantime. The trailer really seems to grasp the serenity and calmness of
the film and I’m very excited to see it.
Watch
the trailer for Paterson below. The
movie will be in theaters on December 28th and Amazon not far after.
