We’re
sad to report that Carrie Fisher has died at the age of 60 today. The actress
and writer who is best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars universe suffered a heart
attack just a few days ago and unfortunately, passed away early this morning.
In a
year that has taken so many influential and monumental talents such as Prince,
Alan Rickman, Gene Wilder, Anton Yelchin, Muhammad Ali and many, many more this
year cannot end enough. This was so unexpected and Fisher had such a larger impact
on so many people’s lives, especially women for being truly one of the biggest
bad asses in cinematic history as Princess Leia. In addition to being in the
original trilogy and the last two entries in the Star Wars universe, Fisher also starred in films such as Hannah and Her Sisters, When Harry Met Sally…,
The ‘Burbs and Soapdish.
Rest
in peace to an amazing legend in the entertainment world. Our deepest
condolences go out to her family and loved ones during this tragic time.
