Zach
Braff, known for being quite an original filmmaker with his last two
directorial efforts (Garden State, Wish I
Was Here) but now he’s getting behind the camera for a remake. The film he’s
remaking is the ensemble comedy from 1979, Going
in Style.
The
original movie centered around three aging friends who were originally played
by George Burns, Lee Strasberg and Art Carney who decided to rob a bank in
order to get a great final payout before kicking the bucket. Braff’s version
though will star three Oscar-winning actors, Alan Arkin, Morgan Freeman and
Michael Caine. The plot is pretty straightforward as is the trailer but it got
a lot of laughs out of me so I’m excited to see it.

The film stars Alan Arkin, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Joey King,
Christopher Lloyd, Matt Dillon, Peter Serafinowicz and John Ortiz. It’s set to
open everywhere on April 7th, 2017.
