Universal
has had massive success with their Despicable
Me movies from the original in 2010 to its lackluster sequel in 2013 and
especially the spinoff film simply titled, Minions
that made over a billion dollars worldwide without a plot. The newest film though,
Despicable Me 3 got a new trailer
that actually had me laughing quite a bit.
Despicable Me 3 follows Gru facing off
against a new villain in Balthazar Bratt voiced by the magnificent Trey Parker.
Bratt is a former child star that is driven to supervillainy as a result of the
abrupt cancellation of his TV series in the 80s when he hit puberty. I’ve never
seen any of the films in this franchise but this one looks the most enticing to
me that I’ve seen so I’m excited especially when you have talent like Steve
Carell, Kristen Wiig and Trey Parker on board.
Check
out the trailer below for Despicable Me 3!
The movie will open everywhere on June 30th, 2017.
