HBO
has always been regarded as being one of the best television networks ever for
its prestige nature of programming. Their newest miniseries though, The Young Pope might be their best in
years by the trailers thus far. The final trailer was revealed today and was
quite possibly the best one I’ve seen all year for a television series.
The Young Pope follows a rogue pope with
his own agenda and sense of right and wrong. The HBO series leads with a
modern, fictional pope, Pope Pius XIII, who is played by Jude Law. Along with
that, the series was created by one of the best filmmakers of today, Paolo
Sorrentino (Youth, The Great Beauty).
The miniseries will be 10 episodes, all directed by Sorrentino and it looks to
be a tremendous new series for the network.

in the series that premiers on HBO on January 15th at 9 PM EST.
