Though it’s pretty hard to believe that this is our third Spider-Man in 15 years, it is true and it finally seems that Sony has gotten it right thanks to a team-up with Marvel Studios. We have for you today, the first full-length trailer below for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

This version of Spider-Man will see Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) dealing with the regular growing pains that come with high school while also doing his best to fend off supervillains. Though that sounds very much like the previous incarnations of Spidey, Holland is ACTUALLY a teenager unlike Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield who played the iconic role before him. Marvel is describing it as a “John Hughes movie in the vein of superheroes” and it sure feels like that. Though I have problems with the trailer in terms of how its cut together, I’m excited to see them finally go with a different approach.

Check out the first full-length trailer below for Spider-Man: Homecoming. In addition to Holland, the film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Bokeem Woodbine, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, Abraham Attah, Martin Starr, Tony Revolori and Angourie Rice. The movie opens everywhere on July 7th, 2017.
