Ever
since Universal’s Monster Cinematic Universe was first announced, I was very
skeptical and it was laughable to be honest. They were trying to get the most
out of their money, and today, we got our first look at the first movie in this
new formula by the studio with, The Mummy.
The Mummy is reboot and the new
cinematic version of a classic story as it tells of a tomb deep beneath the
desert that houses an ancient princess but she gets out and wreaks havoc
throughout London. The movie stars a bonafide box-office star in Tom Cruise and
I have to say, I really dug the trailer. I think it had interesting themes and
provided a cool action/adventure type film with horror elements.

In addition to Cruise starring in the movie, it also stars Sofia Boutella,
Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe. The movie
is set to open everywhere on June 9th, 2017!
